Season: a holiday at the right time

We are the small Garni Stefani guesthouse in the mountain village of Vent, located at an altitude of 1,895 meters in the Ötztal Alps. Vent is a typical high-mountain village that operates in two main seasons – winter and summer. During these times restaurants, services and tourist infrastructure are open, and the region offers the full Alpine experience.

In the transitional months in spring and autumn the weather is changeable and most hotels and businesses stay closed. The village naturally “falls asleep” and prepares for the next season. Garni Stefani transforms in the same way.

Garni Stefani guest house, built in the 1950s, hides a refurbished, modern interior behind a façade that blends beautifully with its surroundings.

In the summer, when the mountains are mainly visited by couples and individual guests, we offer cozy rooms with more privacy and private entrances. During the winter season, we adapt our accommodations to accommodate larger groups and families—separate rooms can be connected via a shared space, transforming them into apartments that provide a comfortable retreat for the whole group after a day on the slopes.

Apartments

In winter Garni Stefani becomes the home of full-fledged apartments that provide an ideal base for families and larger groups of friends. Each apartment offers plenty of space, its own kitchen, and comfort for time spent together after a day on the slopes. The practical layout allows a mix of privacy and shared moments – whether over dinner, planning the next day or relaxing with a view of the snowy peaks.

The apartments are designed to be functional, cosy, and a perfect fit for a winter mountain holiday.

During the winter season, guests have access to their own apartment with a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, a refrigerator with a freezer, a dishwasher, a toaster, a coffee maker, an electric kettle, and a full set of cookware for convenient cooking during your stay.

We do not normally serve breakfast during the winter season. Breakfast can be arranged upon request for an additional fee, subject to prior arrangement.

Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Upon arrival, please present a valid photo ID.

Check-out is from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM.

If you need to arrive or depart outside of these times, please contact us in advance. We will be happy to accommodate you.

Rooms in summer

In summer the apartments turn into cosy rooms offering calm, privacy and comfort after a day on the mountain trails. The rooms are ideal mainly for couples or small groups and keep a clean alpine style with plenty of space to rest. The stay includes a breakfast buffet, so you can start every day without worries and head straight out for new experiences.

Some rooms come with a kitchenette, so guests can choose the kind of stay that suits them best.

In the summer, some apartments are converted into guest rooms. For this reason, a buffet breakfast is included in the price of accommodation to compensate for the lack of kitchen facilities.

During the summer season, we serve a buffet breakfast from 7:00 to 8:30 in the breakfast room.

Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Upon arrival, you must present a valid photo ID and a credit card.

Check-out is from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM.

Sauna: recovery after sport

After a day on the slopes or on a mountain trail, it is time to slow down. Our spacious sauna and quiet zone are the places where the body lets go and the mind grows quiet. Whether after winter skiing or summer hikes, recovery is part of the experience. It is exactly the contrast of cool mountain air and pleasant warmth that gives rest its true depth.
